Van trailers are extremely well-built, durable, and designed to withstand very high winds. Used, they are highly affordable, which means that we can pass the savings on to customers. Building a tiny home from a van trailer means a durable home that is highly affordable.
Yes, our products meet or exceed International Residential Building Codes (IRC), including fire safety, ventilation, egress, and other safety concerns.
The IRC codes are more stringent and greatly exceed the RVIA standards. Also, our units are intended to be installed on a foundation with wheels removed, making the RVIA standards inapplicable while IRC codes become the governing standard.
Most should, but we haven’t checked with every county, and requirements can change. Be sure to check with your county before buying.
